I've always been interested in surface design. Since I took the fabric painting class from JoAnn Deck, I've been pursuing the craft and developing my technique.
This weekend I painted the fabric that I selected to use in the PAQA challenge "I didn't know art could be political". You can see the original piece is a yellow and white Hawaiian print. I have heat set it in the dryer and added a little heat with an irton. It's in the washer now and then the dryer.
I so love the way the paints so totally change a piece of commercial fabric.
